If you’re like me who was excited to have the Android Froyo (Frozen Yogurt) update, HTC released the update last August 31st here in the Philippines. I only got my phone updated this morning, since I ‘rooted’ my HTC desire 
What I did was to ‘unroot’ my phone and there it goes, I got the update notification
I downloaded the file, installed it on my phone, restarted, and done.. My phone now caries the official Froyo with HTC sense. I’m so happy!

First time Droid user with a 3 day old Desire.
It’s also the first time for me to get a gray market unit.
When I power on the phone, I get a splash screen with the Three-Mobile Logo on it. The one who sold me my unit says that it was a T-Mobile branded unit.
I’d like to update to Froyo before populating my phone with data (para hindi na rin ako mag backup&restore, etc.)
I’m not sure how to proceed.
Surely enough I’m also not getting the “update available” notification.

Looks like I was a little impatient. I just found out that Three Mobile only updated to Froyo today (Oct14). I finally got the update notification message.
Holy cow… Froyo DOES indeed run circles around Eclair. Damn…fast.
@ert yes po.. parang na factory reset yung phone, so it is advisable na mag back up ka.. a titanium back up is recommended. search mo lang sa market
wala ka pang update about htc desire hd? yung froyo pala ng desire auto update ba yun pag naka on lang ang phone?

Maybe you can help me… i updated my htc desire to froyo and my internet isn’t working now… i use a globe prepaid sim… also my fm radio isn’t working.. it says the application fm radio (process com.htc.fm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. i only have an option of force close… hope you can help. thanks
were you able to connect to the internet when you’re phone was running on eclair?
Make sure that the correct APN is selected in your settings
I’m not sure about the radio, since mine is working perfectly.
Maybe try flashing the ROM again.
Since you didn’t mention it here, I’m guessing as soon as the update finished downloading, all you did was restart your phone? So you didn’t lose any downloaded apps, it remembered your settings, etc.? Thanks!
Good point.. actually, everything was erased since a new ROM is flashed
so basically my downloaded apps will be deleted?
