I actually experienced the same. I forgot which country I went, but I actually failed to activate the roaming...
what I did was I emailed SUN's customer service indicating my concern. They replied and activated roaming on my account.

If you are a postpaid subscriber, just watch your usage though, my bill reached almost 7k when I was in the US. 4K when I was in Singapore.
Next time I suggest to use Globe prepaid and activate the roaming service. You can also do the above if you fail to activate it.

Hi! I'd like to ask if you know how to solve my dillema:

i was waiting for our flight yesterday at Clark.. Around 3 hours before our flight to Singapore, i texted Sun in registration for roaming.. I waited... And waited but the confirmation text never came... An hour before our flight I texted again just to make sure...

And I had hoped that by the time we arrived in Singapore it would've already been activated but nothing happened... I had to buy a different sim here in Singapore just to communicate with my friends and family... And its really really expensive!!!

Can anyone help me?

How does one activate roaming for Sun Cellular prepaid? Going to Hong Kong on the 17th of November . How much maintaining balance do I need? Is 500 pesos for 10 days enough? I will just text anyhow. Perhaps 1 or 2 calls. will bring load cards.
